Can a solider marry at 17? and information on the US Army.?

Okay, so I'm 17 and I have my GED. I'm soon to join the Army, and I've heard that once you're signed up with the military you're pretty much emancipated. Does that mean I'm capable of marrying without parental consent? Also, I originally planned on going to the Navy, but they wouldn't accept me with a GED can anyone give me information on the Army?
